M. Com., Course Structure

The students of M. Com Degree Course will study the following subjects or other subjects and course contents as may be prescribed by the university from time to time.

Duration of course

The course of study for M. Com., degree shall extend over a period of 2 academic years, each academic year is comprised of two semesters and each semester is comprised of 16 weeks of class work,  provided that the candidates completes his/ her degree within six years from the date of admission to the first semester  of the M. Com., degree course.


Admission Procedure

Eligibility For M.Com:

          B.Com, B.B.M., B.B.A Degree form recognized universities.

          The minimum percentage of marks in the cognate subjects shall be:45% for the candidates for
          GM, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB 40% for Category I Students and

          35% incase of candidate belonging to SC/ST categories.

Note: Once the Admission process is over, no refund of fees shall be made to any students for whatsoever reason it may be after the completion of admission process, application for refund of fees shall not be entertained on any account.

Attendance:

A 75 Percent of attendance in each paper is mandatory and is a requirement to take up the examination. The attendance is the integral part of the internal assessment and carries the following weightage in each semester.

< 75% of attendance 0 marks

75-80% of attendance 1 marks

80-85% of attendance 2 marks

85-90% of attendance 3 marks

90-95% of attendance 4 marks

95-100% of attendance 5 marks




Distribution of Internal Assessment Marks.

Two Sessions test
10 marks

Seminar (to be assessed on the basis of writing, Comprehension communication, articulation, presentation Skills)
5 marks

Field work and assignments
5 marks

Regularity and attendance
5 marks

After the completion of the course the result will be declared by the University as under.



Evaluation

100 marks in each paper is divided in to 25 marks for internal assessment and 75 marks semester and examination. For interdisciplinary paper 10 marks.


Physical - Infrastructure

This year the Course will be conducted in 3 floor of Students Amenities Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering Campus.

It is proposed to shift the P G centre to a new location in Ring Road near Blood Bank where 2.5 acres of land is earmarked for this purpose.
