Department of Physical Education
The department of Physical Education came into being in the year 1966. Physical education is a part of the total college instructional programme that deals with sports and other physical activities. It contributes to the over all goals of education by providing instruction to students in movement activities. It involves a wide range of activities including elementary games, basic movement skills, fitness and conditioning exercises, individual and team games, recreational activities and creative movement. Physical education programmes help students to improve such basic motor skills as running, jumping and throwing.
